Street League Skateboarding Makes Historic Debut in Brasília with More Than 20,000 Over in the Weekend

Felipe Gustavo Delivers Clutch Performance to Claim SLS Victory at His Hometown Debut

Rayssa Leal Claims 14th Win and Prepares to Defend Super Crown Title in São Paulo This December

Brasília, Brazil, July 13, 2025 — Street League Skateboarding made its highly anticipated debut in Brazil’s capital this weekend, drawing more than 10,000 fans and bringing one of the most energy-filled days in SLS history. Brazilian athletes rose to the occasion in front of their home crowd, sweeping both podiums and showing out for the city.

In the Women’s Final, Rayssa Leal (BRA) once again dominated, putting down a 21.8 to claim her 14th SLS win. She’s now won 14 of the last 20 stops, continuing her run as one of the most consistent skaters on tour. Her performance included the Monster Highest Scoring Trick of the day, a clean tre flip down the three block.

“I’m super happy now,” Rayssa said after the win. “I’m with my family and this trophy is for my little brother and Pamela. She’s not here, but I hope she recovers well. Yeah, I’m super happy about this.”

Looking ahead to the Super Crown World Championship in São Paulo this December, she added, “The last one is going to be crazy. I’m super excited, a little nervous, I'm not gonna lie, but it’s gonna be fun.”

Rounding out the women’s podium were Gabriella Mazetto (BRA), who took second place with a 14.0, and Duda Ribeiro (BRA), who scored a 13.7, earning her 3rd place and her first SLS podium.

In the Wildcard Jam, Gabryel Aguilar, Matheus Mendes, João Lucas Alves, and Matias Dell Olio battled it out with the passion and drive Brazilians are known for. Ultimately, Gabryel and Matheus earned the two coveted spots in the Men’s Final. Matheus secured his place with a buzzer-beating switch 360 flip lipslide, while Gabryel secured the top spot by stacking notable tricks throughout the entire jam session.

But it was Felipe Gustavo (BRA) who delivered the defining moment of the night in the Men’s Finals. On attempt six of seven, and needing a 9.4 to take the lead, the Brasília native landed a nollie flip frontside noseslide, scoring exactly what he needed to jump from fourth to first and claim his SLS Brasília victory, in front of his hometown.

“Man, it feels different from my hometown,” Felipe said. “I’m so excited to just be able to do this here, it’s a different experience. It’s been a long career coming. I’m so excited, it feels like just the beginning again.”

Giovanni Vianna finished second, and Gabryel Aguilar, fresh off his Wildcard Jam run, rounded out the podium in third.
